The first step of the fire restoration process is to contact the authorities, as in firefighters, to alert them of the fire damage that has occurred. Once the firefighter's or local authority determines the property is safe to enter, they will then assess the number of damages so that they don't spread through the building. Depending on the seriousness, everything may be covered in soot and ashes. Be sure not to track in soot from areas that may have soot damage. Soot damage may affect numerous different surfaces and cause permanent loss if not looked after quickly.
